The Interstitial Ring CT/MR Applicator Set is designed for gynecologic brachytherapy procedures. The Interstitial Ring CT/MR Applicator Set, based on the Ring CT/MR Applicator Set, allows for interstitial procedures. The needles can be inserted from outside the patient using holes in the ring to an adjustable depth using an insertion tool and guiding tubes. The needles can be locked to remain in place.

The applicator is MR-compatible. Its design uses composite fiber tubing and plastics to eliminate distortion on CT or MR imaging. This enables conformal treatment planning with the use of transversal slices
