Columbia, MD September 2002 - Nucletron Corporation and Premier signed a three year buying agreement covering purchases of the microSelectron-High Dose Rate Brachytherapy Remote Afterloader and Simulix-HQ Simulator. This agreement, the first between the two organizations, began April 2002 and will continue through 2005.

The microSelectron-HDR Remote Afterloading System meets the highest quality, and reliability requirements as set forth by brachytherapy physicians, physicists and regulatory agencies. The microSelectron-HDR can be used for the treatment of cancer, whether curative or palliative, at virtually any body site, often on an outpatient basis.
The Simulix-HQ simulator provides superior image quality, digital fluoroscopy, and real time patient information, as well as, accuracy, precision, and versatility. The Simulix has gained worldwide recognition as the 'Gold Standard' in simulation. Originally developed by Oldelft, the Simulix offers traditional values of stability and precision using innovative, user-friendly controls, digital imaging, and CT capabilities

"Our Imaging Purchasing Committee, made up of 18 representatives from our member hospitals, researched and evaluated suppliers before recommending the contract award to Nucletron."
