Nucletron appoints three new members to executive management team

The new members of Nucletron’s executive management team include industry professionals with extensive medical, research and marketing expertise. 

Veenendaal, Netherlands (July 20, 2009) — Nucletron, a knowledge-based leader in radiation oncology, announced today the expansion of its executive management team with three new personnel announcements.  The new members of Nucletron’s executive management team include industry professionals with extensive medical, research and marketing expertise.

Jan Boers, Vice President of Global Marketing:
Boers joins Nucletron with extensive sales and marketing experience with well-known companies including CSM Food, Heinz and Sara Lee International. He holds a master’s degree in business economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In his new role, Boers will be responsible for the marketing and communications department worldwide.

John Lapré, Vice President of Research and Development:
Lapré assumes the role of Nucletron’s new vice president of research and development following his most recent stint as vice president of research and development for CP Kelco. Lapré brings 15 years of experience in senior R&D and innovation management positions with international companies. He holds a master’s degree in nutrition and biochemistry as well as a Ph.D. in toxicology from Wageningen University, the Netherlands.

Jonathan Briers, Vice President of Medical Affairs:
Briers brings nearly 20 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the United States and Europe to his new role as vice president, medical affairs at Nucletron. He qualified as a medical doctor from the University of Manchester Medical School, United Kingdom, and held clinical posts in Manchester and Liverpool.  Since joining the pharmaceutical industry, Briers has held positions of increasing responsibility in product management and medical affairs at Servier International, SmithKline Beecham and most recently at Pfizer.  He will oversee the newly created medical affairs department at Nucletron.

“The expansion of Nucletron’s executive management team to include these three stellar professionals is evidence of our commitment to product innovation in the fight against cancer worldwide,” said Jos Lamers, chief executive officer of Nucletron. “Jan, John and Jonathan all bring highly specialized expertise that will enable Nucletron to continue to grow and meet the needs of our diverse global client base.”

The new members of Nucletron’s executive management team will be based at Nucletron’s Service Center in Veenendaal.
