VEENENDAAL, THE NETHERLANDS - July 7, 2006 - Nucletron B.V., a global leader in providing some of the world's most innovative products and services for cancer treatment, and RaySearch Laboratories AB, a medical technology company that provides state-of-the- art optimization software that creates more effective radiation therapy of cancer, announce the availability of the latest in IMRT planning with Oncentra MasterPlan version 1.5.

The Direct Step & Shoot and Angle optimization a new Oncentra Optimizer product, allows users to produce high quality IMRT plans faster and with fewer segments, which may reduce the overall IMRT treatment time significantly. New and improved functionalities in MasterPlan 1.5 will reduce the total planning time and enhance the planning workflow in any radiotherapy department.

The plan evaluation tools in MasterPlan 1.5 facilitate the DICOM import and DICOM RT dose review of 3rd party DICOM compliant planning systems, which will bring great benefits to users worldwide. With these new functionalities current boundaries will be history and for the first time, users will be able to review 3rd party DICOM plans remotely from Oncentra MasterPlan 1.5.

"The new functionality for IMRT planning provided in MasterPlan version 1.5 has dramatically decreased the time it takes to generate a good IMRT plan. The new Optimizer with Direct Step and Shoot is very useful and makes IMRT planning easy and quick." Noted by Ulf Isacsson, physicist, Uppsala Academic Hospital in Sweden.

"With Direct Step-and-Shoot and Gantry angle optimization, the new Oncentra Optimizer is one of the most comprehensive and efficient IMRT planning products on the market", says Johan Löf, President and CEO of RaySearch Laboratories AB.
Oncentra Optimizer is fully integrated in Oncentra MasterPlan and since the first release in April 2005, deployed in many RT cancer institutes worldwide.

About RaySearch

RaySearch develops and markets software for radiation therapy of cancer. The products are specially designed to optimize radiation therapy with the aim of adapting the radiation dose to the contour of the tumor, which then allows high doses to be delivered to the tumor while minimizing the dose to surrounding healthy tissue.
RaySearch, a spin-off from Karolinska Institutet, was formed in 2000. The company has since sold its product RayOptimizer to more than 900 hospitals internationally through a licensing agreement with Philips, thus enabling more than 100,000 patients to receive improved radiation therapy. RaySearch signed a licensing agreement with Nucletron at the beginning of 2004. The latter agreement made RaySearch's products available to a large number of additional clinics worldwide and, consequently, increased the number of potential customers sharply. Delivery to clinics of Oncentra Optimizer, the first product based on the partnership with Nucletron, began in April 2005. In February 2006 an agreement was signed with Scanditronix-Wellhöfer regarding development of products for improved quality assurance for IMRT.

RaySearch was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange's O-List in November 2003 and as of July 1, 2005, RaySearch is listed in the Attract40 segment. RaySearch is based in Stockholm and currently has 28 employees. For more information on RaySearch, please visit www.raysearchlabs.com
