VEENENDAAL, the Netherlands, December 15, 2005 - Nucletron is awarded the quality certification necessary for sustained operation in China.

Simulix-HQ and Simulix Evolution™ simulators both received the formal nod of approval from the China Quality Certification Centre, the relevant authority in China. Both models were assessed according to stringent criteria for product safety and quality control of production.

“We are delighted with this latest certification,” stated Dick van Waes, Business Director, Brachytherapy and Imaging. “China has and continues to be a very important growth driver for Nucletron. We have been present in the Chinese market for many years and this is a further confirmation of not only acceptance by the Chinese regulatory authorities but also that our Simulix range continues to be the global gold standard.”

Carol Stoyanoff, Segment Manager for the Simulator, adds, “Simulix-HQ is a winning proposition for China. It is a highly reliable platform, which provides a good basis for improving patient care. The Simulix-HQ is designed to grow with the needs of clinics and hospitals. Customers can upgrade to Simulix Evolution with Oncentra ConeBeam for high precision CT imaging at any time in its lifecycle. Ease of use and speed of simulation procedure is more comfortable for the patient and optimises hospital workflows.”
