Nucletron announces the program for the 10th International Brachytherapy Conference sponsored by Nucletron to be held November 11-14, 2000 in Madrid, Spain and has extended the deadline for abstracts. The deadline for abstracts has been extended until June 30, 2000.

Nucletron held the first Brachytherapy Conference twenty years ago in Amsterdam in 1980. This international meeting is held approximately every two years to provide updates on clinical advances in brachytherapy. Since its inception the International Brachytherapy Conference has a long history of introducing new techniques and innovations for Low Dose Afterloading, High Dose Afterloading and Pulse Dose Afterloading.

The agenda for this special 10th year meeting is to explore controversies that inevitably exist on different subjects, including radiobiology, physics, vascular treatment and a variety of tumor sites. An international faculty of distinguished speakers will present key-note lectures.

Conference Chairman Dr. Jan J. Battermann, University Hospital Utrecht, The Netherlands strongly encourages you to participate in what we believe will be a most productive meeting by attending and taking an active role in the proceedings. We invite you to submit abstracts for consideration by the Scientific Committee, which will select oral presentations. Poster abstracts should be sent to the conference secretariat, (congress@nucletron.nl). This meeting represents an outstanding opportunity for all of us working in the field of brachytherapy to extend our understanding.

We look forward to seeing you in Madrid. Please visit the Nucletron web site, www.nucletron.com, to review the conference program, abstract submittal guidelines and registration information.
