The Ring Applicator simulates the Stockholm Box technique using a ring and a rigid intrauterine tube. The ability of the microSelectron HDR and microSelectron PDR to alter source position and dwell times enables the applicator to be used to shape similar dosimetry to the Fletcher or Manchester techniques. A rectal retractor can be used to push the rectal/vaginal wall to a fixed distance from the source.
