THE NETHERLANDS – 3rd March 2004.  -- Nucletron B.V., a leading vendor in providing innovative software and treatment solutions to the global Oncology community, announces clinical release of Oncentra® Treatment Planning version 1.3. The current release clearly positions Oncentra Treatment Planning as the most progressive treatment planning solution available on the market today. Based on the excellent physics foundation of Helax TMS®, the system combines ease of use and powerful functionality to generate optimal treatment plans. The Windows® based operating system and flexible-licensing options provide clinics with increased configuration choices. This latest version has been released for sales after successful clinical testing in various radiation therapy clinics in Europe and the USA.

Oncentra Treatment Planning is a PC-based planning system that supports the unique concept of distributed treatment planning. It features state of the art image contouring, registration, fusion tools, proven physics, powerful dose calculation functionality, and DICOM connectivity and is the first treatment planning system to include the Monte Carlo Electron algorithm for clinical use. The latest release offers another industry’s first with archiving capabilities to any DICOM Archive supporting DICOM RT objects. The Oncentra 1.3 release also provides a clear migration path to Oncentra for new and existing users.
