Primary Purpose of Position
- The mechanical designer will generate new (Brachy) Hardware concepts and designs. Concepts will be generated after communication with application specialists and customers. Then specifications of the design will be worked out in a QFD structure, designs proposals will be worked out with the R&D team and finally drawn in the 3D design drawing package.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Create concepts of medical instruments.
- Design Master File related documents.
- Maintains the communication with application specialists.
- Works out the concepts into the design directly related to production.
- Prepares design verification and validates manufacturing processes.
- Actively supports the technical rollout issues.
 
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher or skill level acquired through experience in mechanical engineering preferably with a specialization in medical device development.
- Experience with 3D CAD systems (preferably ProEngineer).
- Experience with product development processes related to disposables
- Familiar with MDD, CE and 510K submission aspects
- Goal- and solution oriented (being assertive)
- Focused on quality and accuracy
- Good communication skills Dutch and English (verbal and written)
- Team spirit and commitment
- Being able to work independently
